Love for God and Jesus and all of their creation.
This next word of my five core words might bother some people. As stated in my Bible, it is true about what God says regarding the word 'love'. Give every word of this your full attention.
My word is Love.
A powerful word by itself, yet some people cannot see that in the word itself. So, I hope that after reading my post, you gain a stronger understanding of the word 'Love'.
Let's begin with the dictionary definition of the word' love' in my Webster's New Universal Unabridged Dictionary.
It states: Love is a profoundly tender and passionate affection for another person. 2) A feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection as for a parent, child, or friend. 3) Sexual passion or desire. 4) A person toward whom love is felt, be it a person or a sweetheart. 5) Used indirect address as a term of tenderness, affection, or the like. " Would you like to see a movie. Love. 6) A love affair, an intensely amorous incident: amour. 7) Sexual intercourse, copulation. 8) A personification of sexual affection as Eros or Cupid. 9) Affectionate concern for the well-being of others: The love of one's neighbor. 10) Strong predilection, enthusiasm, or liking for anything: Her love for books. 11) The object or thing so like: The theater was her great love. 12) The benevolent affection of God for his creation or the reverent affection due from them to God.
In this dictionary, I do not feel that it adequately explains what love means to God and Jesus, who gives us love freely. However, it still made excellent points about the word 'Love'. Yet, it does not convey what I wanted to share with you about the love I know and believe. Please take a moment to finish reading my post.
God so loved this world that he sent his only begotten son so that whosoever believeth in him would not perish. But will have Everlasting Life. To give us a chance to be saved from our sins and death. He gave his life for this cause. However, we still don't fully understand what true love means to God and Jesus. So, let me share with you that it means to 'My Lord Jesus' and 'our Father.'
Now I will show you the most excellent way.
In 1st Corinthians, verses 1 through 13
If I speak in the Tongues of men and Angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
Verse 2) If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
Verse 3) If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to flames, but have not love, I am nothing.
Verse 4) Love is patient, Love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
Verse 5) It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Verse 6) Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth.
Verse 7) It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Verse 8) Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
Verse 9) For we know in part and we prophesy in part,
Verse 10) But when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.
Verse 11) When I was a child, I talked like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.
Verse 12) Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully even as I am fully known.
Verse 13) And now these three remain: Faith, Hope, and Love. But the greatest of these is Love.
As you can see, Love is our strongest ally. One reason I believe in love is because it is a gift from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father, which helps us to live in their way of life. With this chapter, he is not just showing us how to love; he is also demonstrating how to love. But also how he Loves Us.
God bless you and your family.
Thank you for reading my post.
