Believe/Belief

Why I believe in God and Jesus.

First, I want to ask you, do you believe that God and Jesus are real? Or do you even know about them at all? In John 3:16, it states that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. When I first read this, I thought Will I have eternal life? So, I decided I wanted more information about this statement from God, about my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and for us to believe in him. In my Life Application Study Bible, in John 3:15, it states, "So that everyone who believes in me (Jesus Christ) will have eternal life." I have another verse from my Study Bible to share with you.

According to my study Bible, in the study section of my Life Application Bible, in chapter 3, verses 14 and 15, it states that when the Israelites were wandering in the Wilderness, God sent a plague of snakes. To punish the people for their rebellious attitudes. Those doomed to die from snakebite could be healed by obeying God's command to look up at an elevated Bronze Snake and by believing that God would heal them if they did. Read Numbers Chapter 21 verses 8,9.

Similarly, our salvation occurs when we look to Jesus, believing He will save us. God has provided this way for us to be healed of sin's deadly bite.

The primary reason I am sharing this with you is that I genuinely believe in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I also believe in our creator, our Father, our God. I also think that they are here with us. So, can you believe in Jesus and his Father, or is that something you find impossible? To have them in your life, you must believe that they are as real as the air you breathe.

But yet some people want to take away your faith and belief in God and Jesus. Do you ever ask anyone why they speak ill of Jesus and His Father? Why do some people hate them? Father, the creator, and Jesus, who died on the cross to forgive us for Sins and Death.

Yet, some people think, 'Why should I serve something I can't see?' I can't touch and I can't hear them, so why should I serve them?

This reminds me of the disciple named Thomas. When the other disciples had already met our risen Lord Jesus Christ and received the Holy Ghost. In John chapter 20, verse 24 states: But Thomas, one of the twelve called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. John chapter 20 verse 25 states, The other disciples therefore said unto him. We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them. Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails and thrust my hand into his side. I will not believe it. Verse 26 states: and after eight days again his disciples were within and Thomas with them; Then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst and said Peace be unto you. Verse 27 states Then said he to Thomas, reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side and be not faithless, but believing. Verse 28 states; And Thomas answered and said unto him. My Lord and My God. Verse 28 states; And Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast to believe. Blessed are they that have not seen and yet have believed.

My point is this: some believe in Jesus and the Father, while others do not believe at all, regardless of the circumstances. I do believe in Jesus and our Father. Do you believe in them? Remember that whether to believe or not is a personal choice for you, and you alone can decide whether you want to or not, to have faith in Jesus and our Father. In closing, most of us have tried many things but never seem to find what we are looking for. So, I will share this, try picking God and Jesus for once.

God bless you and your family.

Thank you, Gary.
