Faith

Faith, why do I have true faith?

I can not tell you about your faith or its importance to you. This is not why I am writing my post. I'd like to share my thoughts on faith.

So, what is true faith? To me, it is another way of believing in God and Jesus. In the Webster's New World Dictionary. The word Faith states: to trust, 1) unquestioning belief, specifically in God, a religion, etc., 2) A particular religion, 3) complete trust or confidence. 4) Loyalty.

This is a kind of faith, but when I say to you that I have true faith. I am talking about my faith in God and Jesus, because of what Jesus said to his disciples after he had said to a fig tree. "Let no fruit grow on thee hence forever". Then the tree withered away and they marvelled, saying, How did the fig tree wither so quickly. Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily, I say unto you. If ye have Faith and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done, to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain. Be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea, it shall be done. And all things whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive it. I was going to share my thoughts on this scripture, but as I was studying. My Life Application Study Bible. I came across the best statements I could write about my true faith in Matthew 21:21-22.

In verse 21, it states: Many have wondered about Jesus' statement that if we have Faith and don't doubt, we can move mountains. Jesus, of course, was not suggesting that his followers use prayer as a means of magic and perform capricious, mountain-moving acts. Instead, he was making a strong point about the disciples ( and ours). Lack of Faith, What kinds of mountains do you face? Have you talked to Jesus about them? How strong is your Faith?

In verse 22, it states:

This verse does not guarantee that we can obtain anything we want simply by asking Jesus and believing. God does not grant requests. That would harm us or others, or violate his own nature or will. Jesus's statement is not a blank check. To be fulfilled at our request, our request must be in harmony with the principles of God's Kingdom. The stronger our belief, the more likely our prayers will be in line with God's will, and then God will be happy to grant them.

For me, at times, it has been hard to keep my Faith. Yet, I realize that Father and Jesus are still providing for my needs (Remember, I said 'my needs,' not 'my wants'). So that I can keep moving forward in this World. Sometimes in this world, we lose faith in Father and Jesus, but they don't lose faith in us.

Faith comes through praying, believing, and Bible reading. So, when you feel you have lost your Faith, just pray and believe, and God and Jesus will restore your faith in you. I Do This also.

Thank you, and God bless you and your family.
